After the installation was complete, I had SpeedUpMyPC 2011 do a scan and it found that this system had Serious speed loss due to 278 issues with the PC. Naturally I smacked the Fix Issues button to optimize this computer.
When it was done, the program told me that 278 improvements have been implemented and all issues have been resolved.
Now the SpeedUpMyPC Barometer shows that all is clear and that all potential speed loss issues are optimized. I feel better and so does my computer.
Features and Tools Integrated in SpeedUpMyPC 2011
Let’s see what else this program has to offer. Under the Manage tab is where the Speed Tools are found. The set of utilities accelerate operating system performance, file navigation and the speed that software launches. The status of the tool will show that it is enabled when the tool is running. If you don’t want it running, simply click Disable to deactivate it.
There are four valuable Speed Tools available:
The CPU Manager ensures that valuable resources are not being hogged up by runaway processes.
The Software Launch Booster gives your applications a boost when they are launched.
The Proactive Thumbnail Generator allows you to enjoy quicker navigation through your file manager as SpeedUpMyPC generates thumbnail images that will be displayed in advance.
The Start Menu Software Accelerator does just what the name says it does; launches applications accessed through the start menu more quickly.
Change SpeedUpMyPC Program Settings
The Settings tab allows you to adjust the SpeedUpMyPC 2011 program settings. There are General Settings, Scan Settings, Proxy Settings and System Information settings and tabs under this menu. The Scan Settings allows you to control how the program launches and schedules scans to keep your computer optimized automatically.
You may or may not want to launch SpeedUpMyPC 2011 when the computer starts but you should definitely set the frequency of scheduled scans to at least Weekly to keep your computer running at full speed.
